We understand that not everyone can afford program fees. Therefore, we have set up a scholarship system for those who need assistance. If you are eligible for a scholarship, you will only have to pay a percentage of the program fee.
What do I need to do?
To be eligible for a scholarship you must be a current member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue and meet the family size/yearly income requirements set by our organization. To apply you will need to submit a completed Scholarship Application with a copy of your most recent 1040 taxes form and a copy of your most recent W2 form or two recent paystubs.
Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come first-serve basis and a limited number of scholarships will be available.
A scholarship application alone does not register the participant, nor does it reserve space in a program. You will be notified once your application for scholarship has been received and processed. If your scholarship is approved you can then go on to register for programs.
Please submit your scholarship applications to the Main Club or by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org or fax: (425) 637-6509
What if I do not have my W2 or tax form?
We request you bring in any forms you have that show your income such as a month’s worth of paycheck stubs, unemployment papers, etc. However, we do prefer you bring your W2 and 1040 taxes form. If you have questions about this, please contact the Club at 425-454-6162.
Additional information about scholarships:
If you would like to sign-up for a program before submitting your application, select "Pay in Person" during the registration. When you come into the Club with your application and income information, you can receive the scholarship rate you qualify for and pay for the program. You will not know if your family qualifies for a scholarship or what the rate will be until your application is processed.
Scholarships must be updated before the tax deadline (April) and must be renewed each year.
If you have a current scholarship and want to register for an athletic program, you will need to register over the phone or in person as the payment is due at the time of registration and must be manually adjusted. Please bring turn in your scholarship information before you register for an athletic program.
We also offer *payment contract* options. With a contract, you must first sign up for the program(s). Then we can set up a contract for you to make installments on the payment until it has been paid off.
Is there anything a scholarship does not cover?
Each child participating in a Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue program will need a current membership for $27.00 per year. Memberships are current for 1 year from your purchase date. This is the only cost where the scholarship rate is not applied.
For summer camp programs, we offer up to 4 weeks per child at a scholarship rate. If a child registers for more than 4 weeks, the additional weeks will be listed at the full price.
Wednesday Only Project Learn registrations are not covered by scholarships.
School's Out Day field trip fees and late pick up fees are not coverd by scholarships.
"I just wanted to let you know that my children attend the Project Learn program at the South Bellevue Community Center, and I couldn’t be happier with the program.
Every time I pick up my children they are smiling and having a great time. The staff are fun, engaging and very professional. I can’t say enough for their efforts.
My son just started Kindergarten this year, and my daughter is in 4th grade, and your staff are absolutely wonderful about making them both feel comfortable. They tell me all about the fun activities they do every day.
As a former employee of the Bellevue School District as a teacher in the afterschool program I know the challenges they face every day, and I want to commend your organization and staff for an absolutely wonderful program.
Thank you so much for your invaluable services. I wouldn’t feel comfortable at work without your help and support."
