Bennett Elementary
Project Learn
Project Learn reinforces the skills and knowledge young people learn throughout the school day. Project Learn includes POWER HOUR, a comprehensive homework assistance program.  Each day, programs are offered in 5 core areas: Education, Sports Fitness & Recreation, The Arts, Health and Life Skills and Character and Leadership Development.Â
Youth of the Month
The Bennett staff and kids are
pleased to recognize Lisa as
our Youth of The Month! Lisa has been a very active member of the club and is
involved in every activity that we plan for the day. Everyday after school Lisa
always asks the staff what she can do to help make the club organized and how
she can help with daily programs. Lisa is always on top of her homework and
finishes it everyday along with helping other members with their homework.
Congratulations Lisa on being the Youth of The Month and thanks for being so
helpful!
This Month at Bennett
This Month at Bennett we will be
celebrating the end of the school year and the beginning of summer. For this
last month of Project Learn we will be having our final Family Night potluck
along with a game of dodge ball or kickball. For more information on the date
and time please ask the staff at Bennett or email Carley.
During the month of June we will be focusing on the theme of Summer Preview. For
this theme we will be playing a lot of activities outside so that the members
can get a preview of what summer camp will be like at The Bennett Boys and Girls
Club. The activities include art projects that will be created with objects you
can find outside, favorite fine arts mediums, group games, and summarizing
National Programs.
For our intramural sports we will be having our last soccer match on Wednesday
June 2nd at Bennett and we will be playing Hidden Village from 2:30pm-4pm. Thank
you to all of the members for showing great sportsmanship during the games and
playing the best to their ability. You all have done a great job!
Lastly if you are thinking about summer camp for your child, Bennett Elementary
will be one of the locations along with South Bellevue Community Center, Lake
Hills, and the Main Club. To register your child for summer camp or for more
information please go to the main page of
www.bgcbellevue.org.
Thank you to all of the parents, members, and staff for a great first year at
Bennett as the Site Director. It has been a pleasure working with you all and I
am excited to see you for Project Learn in September!
All Bellevue Boys & Girls Clubs will be closed on May 31st in observance of
