Where did the Expedia Point Vacation?

Club members from Stevenson Elementary were given an important challenge: They were asked to plan a vacation for The Point, the mascot of Expedia.com.

As part of their challenge, Stevenson members formed teams and used the internet to research where The Point should vacation, what kind of transportation was needed, appropriate accommodations, and what needed to be packed.

Club members presented their findings to a panel of Expedia experts.  The winning teams were rewarded with a VIP trip to Expedia where they had lunch and presented their projects directly to the Point!

The Point is currently on a cruise in the Caribbean and will soon be visiting the Seychelles Islands.  To view the winning presentations, please click here!

2009-2010 National Club Tech Digital Arts Festival
During the 2009-2010 school year, children from all of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue have had the chance to BE CREATIVE and take digital arts lessons for the past month creating different kinds of media from flyers to short films to Web pages. The Club Tech Digital Arts Festival is a great way for our members to express themselves artistically and showcase the technology skills they’ve gained through the Club. It’s important our young people become tech-savvy and gain the skills needed to get into college and jobs. The digital arts program opens up the opportunity for local youth to try new things and potentially discover a career path.

Members had the chance to compete in the following four categories

  • Photo Tech (Photo Illustration)
  • Design Tech (Graphic Design
  • Music Tech (Electronic Music Making)
