Project Learn reinforces the skills and knowledge young people learn throughout the school day.  Project Learn includes POWER HOUR, a comprehensive homework assistance program.  Each day, programs are offered in 5 core areas:  Education, Sports Fitness & Recreation, The Arts, Health and Life Skills and Character and Leadership Development.

Youth of the Month
Our Youth of the Month for April was Maile. Maile is one of our teens who always stays involved in program. She is our assistance coach for intramurals soccer on Wednesday’s and helps with snack and round-up time. We are lucky to have Maile at Eastside Terrace Boys and Girls Club of Bellevue.

This Month at Eastside Terrace
Youth Programming
The theme for the month of June at the Eastside Terrace Boys and Girls Club of Bellevue is
SUMMER PREVIEW. With that theme we are going to have our programming be focused on getting the youth excited for Summer Camp. With the weather changing, we will also take advantage of enjoying the nice weather with outside games.

During the month of June, one of our staff will be wrapping up a Hip Hop class where they will be focusing on learning the history of Hip-Hop. Our staff Chris has created activities that help the youth understand where the music they listen to today comes from. He will be discussing the change of lyrics, dress, and culture of Hip Hop.
Along with Hip Hop, we have various activities offered to the youth such as Triple Play where we emphasize healthy habits, Fit Club, TNT Matters which is a Drama Club, and various art and recreation activities.

Teen Programming
Teen programming for the month of June on Wednesday's will also be focused on Survival Training. There is a flyer attached to explain each week’s activity. The bus will pick up the teens from Eastside Terrace every Wednesday at 3:30 pm and arrive back by 6:00pm.

Every Thursday the bus will pick up the teens at 5:45pm from Eastside Terrace to take the youth to Ground Zero for teen night. At Ground Zero the youth will be provided dinner along with activities provided such as computer time, dodge ball, video games, and more. The teens will arrive back at Eastside Terrace no later than 8:00 pm.

On Friday's there is Late Night provided for the teens from 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm. The teen bus picks up the youth from Eastside Terrace at 6:30 pm to take them to South Bellevue Community Center for Late Night. At late night the youth are provided dinner and have free time to participate in activities such as dodge ball, basketball, games room, movies, and computer time.
