Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue

March 12, 2020

Dear BGCB Families:

We appreciate your patience as we navigate this complicated situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus). We understand the affect coronavirus COVID-19 has had our community and have been working closely with Bellevue School District to find a way to serve the children of Bellevue during this outbreak.

With the support of Bellevue School District, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue will remain open while schools are closed until further notice. Beginning March 16, 2020, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue plans to have a limited number of sites open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. for school-aged youth.

All BGCB sites will be closed tomorrow, Friday, March 13, 2020, for thorough deep cleaning. Any arriving members will be met by staff, and parents will be called.

An email with registration details, fees, and sites will be sent to families tomorrow, Friday March 13, 2020.

It's important that you know we are doing everything possible to keep your child and our staff protected from its spread. We are also closely monitoring reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and our local health department for all updated information. At this time, there is no evidence that children are more susceptible.

We want to remind our families that for the more than 68 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue has acted as a beacon of hope for the community. Our Clubs have always been safe havens for Bellevue's youth, and we provide parents and guardians peace of mind every day.

If you decided to withdraw your child from programs, we are asking you to consider continuing to give your program fees as a donation to our community. As a nonprofit, your funds will be used to support the essential programs we will continue to provide during this crisis. Even if your child does not need the Club at this time, we hope you will see this as an investment in BGCB. Help us so we can not only help Bellevue's children and youth through this crisis but also be in a position to serve our community in the future. Support the Club today.

Should you have any questions or concerns about this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Our commitment to you and your children is unwavering.

Sincerely,

Tim Motts
