Project Learn reinforces the skills and knowledge young people learn throughout the school day.  Project Learn includes POWER HOUR, a comprehensive homework assistance program.  Each day, programs are offered in 5 core areas:  Education, Sports Fitness & Recreation, The Arts, Health and Life Skills and Character and Leadership Development. 

Youth of the Month
Our Youth of the Month for June is Mia, She is a 5th grader. She recently started our program put has improved dramatically. Mia is very shy but is slowly coming out of her shell. She has built relationships with staff and peers. Mia is doing great in academics; she is always on track and willing to help out. She is always giving a helping hand to the staff or her peers.

This Month at Lake Hills
During June we will be focusing on different programs for example cooking club, fine arts, digital arts and drama. We will have some special events due to the end of the school year approaching. This month’s events are:

  • Every Wednesday- Soccer vs. another BGC Club
  • June 3rd- Mercer Slough
  • June 4th- Smart Girls Late Night
  • June 9th- Kids day @ the park
  • June 11th- LAST DAY OF PROJECT LEARN
  • June 14th-18th- Boys & Girls Club CLOSED
