These
classes offer a loving, secure environment
for a child’s first preschool experience.
The successful separation from parents and
the development of a positive bond with the
teachers are primary goals of these classes.
The classroom environment will be structured
to foster the development of the child’s
communication and social skills.

Older children are encouraged to register
for the afternoon class.
These
classes provide the children with
opportunities for exploration through
age-appropriate activities and through
interactions with adults and other
classmates. An environment is created in
these classes that encourages the
development of acceptable social skills and
learning habits. This environment will
foster the growth of self-confidence in each
child. Occasional field trips are taken
using parent transportation and
participation.
These
classes are designed to develop a child’s
social, emotional, cognitive, physical and
creative talents through fun, safe and
fascinating activities. Pre-reading skills,
number and letter recognition, introduction
to Spanish and to sign language, scientific
explorations—all are integrated into the
curriculum for the 4-year-old child. Five
fun field trips are taken during the year.
Parent transportation supplements the use of
the Club’s 15-passenger van; parent
participation on fieldtrips is encouraged.
Older 4-year olds and 5-year old children
who are not going onto kindergarten are
encouraged to register for the Raccoons
class.
The Enrichment Class (Eagles) is unique to the
Bellevue Boys & Girls Clubs Preschool.
This three-hour field trip class meets once a
week. Transportation is provided by the Club’s 15-passenger van.
Children bring a sack lunch, are loaded into the van (in
age-appropriate child booster seats) and embark on a different
adventure each week. Field trip destinations include the trout
farm, Remlinger Farms, Museum of Flight, Mini Mountain, Maritime
Museum, Kelsey Creek Farm, Krispy Kreme, Salmon Hatchery and
many local parks. Parents are invited and encouraged to join
these fieldtrips. (Entrance fees into the events are included in
the tuition.)
Lunch Bunch Options (Ages 3
and 4, limit of 10/day):
Older children meet, bring their lunch and enjoy
a less structured time after their school day. Monday, Tuesday,
and Thursday from 12 - 2 PM. Sign-up is at the beginning of each
month. Cost: $20/day.
Little Ditties is based on the fundamental belief
that every child is musical. The class creates a small community
where you and your children can connect with each other, and
with other adults and kids who want to have fun learning about
rhythm, melody and movement. Each class is 45 minutes long and
parents with babies under 1 can bring them along for free with
an older sibling.
This class will be offered in the Boys and Girls
Club of Bellevue Mat room on Fridays, from 9 to 9:45 AM and 10
to 10:45 AM. If your child is not a member of the Boys and Girls
Clubs of Bellevue, you will need to pay a $27 membership fee,
good for one year, along with the tuition. Siblings each get a
discount if enrolled in the same class.
