Kathy Haggart
Kathy Haggart has been with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue for over fifteen years. Her career spans nearly twenty years of management experience for nonprofit organizations, with a demonstrated track record of achieving outstanding results while working effectively in team environments.
Kathy started with the Club in 1994 as the Director of Development and was appointed the President/CEO in 1997. Kathy presents regularly at Boys & Girls Clubs of America's regional & national conferences. She also serves on various committees with the national organization including the Workers Association Board and the Human Resources/Staff Retention Task Force. She has also been selected as a Mentor for Boys & Girls Clubs of America's McCabe Foundation.
On top of her commitment to the nation-wide Boys & Girls Club movement, Kathy manages twelve club sites serving over 6,000 members a year in the Bellevue area. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue also serves 4,000 teens annually and employs as many as 120 staff members depending on the time of year. Kathy is responsible for managing a 2.4+ million dollar budget and reports directly to the Board of Directors.
Before becoming the President/CEO, Kathy served the club as the Vice President of Marketing and Development. During her three years in this position, she was responsible for fund development and marketing for the entire organization, which at the time was one of the largest Boys & Girls Club organizations in the country. Her achievements extend from marketing and development to large special events as well. A highlight of her Boys & Girls Club career was her coordination of a visit to the Club by retired General Colin Powell.
Kathy was responsible for fund development, marketing, public relations, property management, grant writing and computer systems for Big Brothers of King County during her time there from 1982 to 1993. Prior to Big Brothers she spent time doing graphic design work for Graphically Speaking. Kathy attended the University of Washington as well as Burnley School of Art in Seattle, Washington.
