The Club

Introducing The Club.  This new initiative is a key part of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s efforts to continue programming into the middle school ages.  Targeted specifically to young people, ages 13-16, the new brand provides programs for Homework assistance, Athletics, the Arts, Community Service, and Technology.  Using professionally trained Club staff, The Club, offers a safe, positive place for middle school kids to go after school.

Programs Offered

Drop In
Programs are always FREE. The Teen Center is open to youth ages 13-19. We are committed to offering a SAFE and progressive space for all youth to play, create and express themselves. To enable this we simply ask that you sign-in at the front door when you arrive.

Be Great Graduate!
Addressing the drop-out rate in this country is a national initiative for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In support of this initiative, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue Be Great Graduate! program is working closely with teens in need of academic support to help them reach their full potential as students. The program works with teens in grades 6-12 throughout the school year and summer months to address academic achievement. With support from Nintendo, the Robert Vasen Foundation, Citibank, and others, we are having amazing results and are continuously working to expand the program. For more information, contact Janelle Herrick at 425-644-7885.

TXL
Located in the Lake Hills neighborhood the TXL (Teen Excellence) Center is dedicated to providing middle and high school with fun, creative, and engaging after-school and summer programming. The Center features a state-of-the-art technology center generously provided by Microsoft and focuses much of the programming on fostering technology related skills and creativity. Program options in this area include Digital Arts (music production, graphic design, movie making, and photo editing), computer refurbishing, robotics, and skill building. In addition, the Club offers community service and leadership opportunities for older youth through Keystone Club, Torch Club, internships, and mentoring programs. Finally, the Club offers programs in the arts (fine arts, drama, etc.) and sports, fitness and recreation (intramural sports, daily options for physical fitness, etc.). The Club is open extended hours on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and provides transportation options to Late Night at South Bellevue Community Center on Fridays. In addition to support from Microsoft, the Club also partners with the City of Bellevue and HTC is a major contributing sponsor of the Club, as well.

Keystone
The Keystone advisory is for Teens who want to get involved in leadership.  The council helps steer the teen center by planning programs, tackling important teen issues, attending youth conferences and doing community service.

Music Advisory
Every other Wednesday from 6 - 8 pm, The Teen Center hosts a Music Advisory Meeting. This is a place for interested teens to share new music, new show ideas and learn about their local music scene. This is a great way to get started volunteering at local shows and to network with other like-minded individuals. You will learn about promotion, recording, show staffing and be exposed to new local and non-local music. Internships are available. Please email Nick Merz for more information.
