PROJECT LEARN - 2020/21
Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue's Project Learn After School Program enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school through high-yield learning activities. Each day, dedicated BGCB staff deliver innovative and inspiring programs focused on BGCB's three outcome areas: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship.
BGCB Clubs offers a variety of programs designed to increase academic performance including reading and writing practices, homework help, and fun activities. Trained, passionate staff facilitate data-driven programming to boost academic performance and social development of Club members. Below is a sample of programs offered at each of our Clubs:
Power Hour: homework help and reading program
Fine Arts: members learn a new medium each month and have the opportunity to enter pieces in our annual Fine Arts Showcase
Technology: Including, Music Tech, Photo Tech, Video Tech, and Game Tech
Fit Club: members learn proper techniques for exercising.
Triple Play: a healthy mind, body and soul program, combining exercise with healthy eating and good sportsmanship.
SMART Moves: a program designed to help members make healthy choices, develop good decision-making skills, improve self-confidence, and grow as an individual
Good Character & Citizenship
Youth of the Month: A member that consistently meets the Club Expectations of Respect Yourself, Respect Others, Respect the Club, and Have Fun! This member participates fully in Club activities, especially Power Hour. Youths of the Months serves as a role model for fellow Club members.
