Summer Athletics Programs

Sports Camps at Hidden Valley Fieldhouse and South Bellevue Community Center 2018

Hours

Camp hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday (unless indicated otherwise)

(All programs will be CLOSED on Monday, July 4th)

Overview 

Athletic Camps give your child an opportunity to dive into a particular sport for an entire week. Learn the fundamentals in a fun filled atmosphere. Campers will participate in skills and drills that will enhance their understanding of the game. Campers will have the opportunity to scrimmage in action packed games.  The camps will be offered by club staff and or local experts in the field to provide an engaging week full of fun!

 

Session 1: June 25-June 29

All Star Sports Camp                            
Campers will play all the originals like basketball, soccer and kickball.  We will also play flag football, dodgeball and ultimate Frisbee.  This week is packed full of sports!

Discover Magic Purple Wand Camp                           
Join Xakary the Magician (he was on America's Got Talent!) as he teaches magic. You'll learn lots of magic secrets--your friends and family will be amazed! This is Xakary's "Purple Wand" course. The courses can be taken in any order. Plus Mom & Dad, the kids will learn communication skills and self-confidence! Campers will receive all the magic tricks taught in the course, "secret" file folders, a Seattle Magic Academy t-shirt, and access to a secret online video vault with videos to review tricks the kids learn in the course.

UK Elite Soccer (5-14 Yrs) – 5 Day Summer Camp

 

“UK Elite Soccer Camps use a Global Soccer Curriculum designed to improve each individual player. Players will be instructed by the UK Elite professional coaching staff and develop technical and tactical elements of play in a fun challenging environment. Eagleclaw Futsal Camp
An amazing way for your player to spend a week learning and playing futsal.  Skilled Eagleclaw coaches carefully plan each days' activities to include core technical and tactical training focused on rotational play and 5 v 5 in a "winner stays on" format.  Each day the activities build on the previous days activities so the players are constantly learning and having fun at the same time.

Flag Football Camp

This camp is perfect for both beginners looking to learn how to play football and experienced players looking to sharpen their skills. This camp will teach players the fundamentals, techniques and rules of the game. Instructors will go over everything from footwork, stance, catching and throwing to the techniques and philosophies of basic offensive and defensive plays.

Campers will play all the originals like basketball, soccer and kickball.  We will also play flag football, dodgeball and Volleyball!  This week is packed full of sports for girls!

Session 3: July 9-July 13

EBI Ball Handling & Shot Doctor Camp     *Mon-Thurs*                 
Eastside Basketball Institute partners with the BGCB in teaching campers to learn proper ball handling and shooting techniques. They will practice drills that they can do by themselves at home. This camp is great for all ages and positions. Campers will be divided by age and ability to enhance their learning experience. Camps include contests, games, skill work, drills, camp T-shirt, and more!

Girls on the Run Camp                 

Camp Girls On The Run combines the best of Girls on the Run with all the fun of camp! During this one week-long session, 3rd - 5th grade girls will build friendships in a fun and inclusive setting that includes interactive games, being physically active, and expressing creativity through art & crafts and storytelling. Led by caring and qualified Girls on the Run coaches, Camp Girls On The Run provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for girls to develop self-confidence, learn life skills they can use now and as they grow, and have fun with friends.

Insurance

While the Basketball/Life Skills camp carries liability insurance, all campers are required to provide their own medical insurance coverage.

Coaching

High School coaches and current and former high school and college players will provide coaching by exposing campers to the fundamental skills of the game through proven coaching methods. Our camp does not guarantee success as a player, but it will expose campers to the ingredients necessary to becoming a skilled player and successful high school student-athlete.

Life Skills

Classroom sessions are taught by our camp directors and the curriculum is carefully designed to teach campers how to enhance the social experience that youth should receive from playing sports. Daily sessions are centered around developing social skills, teamwork, and also include academic success strategies, along with developing important life-long values such as hard-work, integrity, self-discipline, and other important life lessons.

Session 4: July 16-July 20

Girls Soccer Camp    

                  
This camp is designed for both the beginners wanting to learn how to play soccer and the experienced players looking to refine their skills. Campers will learn the fundamentals, techniques and rules of the game. Our volunteer camp coaches are BHS players with support provided by the BHS Girls Soccer Booster Club, BHS staff coaches and the Bellevue Boys & Girls Club. Proceeds from the camp will benefit the BHS Girls Soccer program by supplementing the purchase of a Qwik Goal Shelter, new backpacks, equipment, and other program expenses for the upcoming season. Please pack water and a snack for your camper. Shin guards required. Indicate your camper's t-shirt size during registration.

This camp is perfect for both beginners looking to learn how to play football and experienced players looking to sharpen their skills. This camp will teach players the fundamentals, techniques and rules of the game. Volleyball Camp                                      

This camp is perfect for both beginners looking to learn how to play volleyball and experienced players looking to sharpen their skills.  Campers will learn the fundamentals, techniques and rules to the game.  Our instructors are from the Bellevue High School Wolverines Volleyball team

Our main focus is for your athlete to develop into a better basketball player through hard work, corrected mistakes, and most importantly having fun so that they continue to play basketball.

Dodgeball Camp                                       

Does your camper love dodgeball?  So do we!  This summer we will have one week focused on every new and old version of the game that the kids and staff can think of.  Some classics include pop-up, elimination and ultimate pickle.

Learnin the Ropes Jumprope Camp

This class is designed to teach the sport of jump rope while instilling positive character qualities in youth of all ages! Participants will receive high quality instruction in single rope, shared rope, long rope, double dutch and more. All classes are taught by a trained instructor, who will provide a fun, safe and inviting atmosphere! Jump rope is great for building hand eye coordination, foot work, cardiovascular health, and overall general fitness.

Seattle Storm Basketball Camp               

Join the Seattle Storm for a week of basketball fun!  Whether your child is new to the game of basketball or a superstar looking to improve their skills, Storm Camp is the place to be this summer!  Camp includes and exclusive Storm t-shirt, one free ticket to a Seattle Storm game, special appearances by Storm coaches and players with raffle process each day!  This camp is Tuesday- Friday only.

Registration Information

Each child must have a current Club Membership, $27 per year, valid through their last day of camp.  All payments are due one week before camp starts.  A $5.00 fee will be added to all "day of registration"; advance registration is encouraged.

Refund Policy: 50% of what is paid towards a program is non-refundable. To request a 50% refund, you must contact your Site Director or the Main Club at least 5 business days prior to the first day of the program. No refunds will be given after this time. Memberships are non-refundable.
