Allison Tourville
Allison recently relocated from the Midwest to Washington as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue’s AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer to help build the Clubs’ capacity for community outreach. She was born in Chicago (which makes her a lifelong Cubs/Bears fan and very critical of hot dogs that are not Chicago style) and grew up in a community just outside of Indianapolis, Indiana. In high school she was active in cross country, track, and lacrosse. Allison was involved in her local Boys and Girls Club in Indiana for over a decade as a member, volunteer, camp counselor and assistant sports director. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in 2007 and 2011 from Ball State University before returning to youth programming and resource development as Bellevue’s VISTA. Despite her love of police and medical procedural dramas (she was disappointed to learn that Seattle Grace is not a real hospital), Allison plans on getting off the couch and exploring Washington’s great outdoors. She looks forward to never again digging her car out of several feet of snow.
