Our Annual Friends Breakfast was hosted at our Hidden Valley Fieldhouse on November 3, 2021. The morning was filled with mission moments and stories of how Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue has been adapting to meet the evolving needs of our Club members like Zak, with the help of our community partners and our 2021 Corporate Partner of the Year Nintendo of America, Inc.
Lifelong Bellevue resident John Stanton paid homage to Ted Lasso during his inspiring leadership remarks. John explained that to him--someone who has been involved with the Club for more than six decades--Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue is all about believing—believing in yourself, believing in things greater than you, and believing in a mission, even when things are hard.
The last 18 months have not been easy for anyone. John's message today reminded us that when you work together towards a common goal, you can make exciting and monumental changes with committed community support.
Together, we have already raised more than $160,000—critical funds that will allow us to continue fulfilling our mission during this difficult time and prepare for the future as Bellevue continues to grow and move forward. Just as we have for nearly 70 years, our Clubs remain committed to doing whatever it takes to provide safe places for kids to be kids, so they can feel valued and excited to be their best selves, regardless of circumstances. Community investment makes that possible.
