Summer Day Camps 2021

Hours

Day Camp hours are from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.                             
Extended hours are 4:00-6:00pm (Sunset Camp). Additional registration is required for Sunset care. 
(All programs will be CLOSED on Monday, July 5th)

Overview

The Club is committed to providing an enriching summer camp experience for every youth. Youth will participate in a variety of activities in the Club’s core areas: Character & Leadership; The Arts; Sports, Fitness & Recreation; Education & Career Development and Health & Life Skills.  Youth will leave camp having had the opportunity to discover new interests and talents, make new friends, learn to work and play together, and create life-long memories! Example Schedule

Scholarships are available but limited to 4 weeks.

*Weekly field trips are NOT SCHEDULED due to COVID restrictions.

Session 1: June 21 - June 25

Summer Safari  

Ever wanted to explore the Serengeti? Get up close to the world’s most dangerous predators? This is the week for you.

Session 2: June 28 - July 2 

America The Beautiful 

Games and activities will be centered around different States, Capitals and Regions, while also celebrating diversity. Take a virtual tour of Ellis Island, or explore the Grand Canyon.

Session 3: July 6 - July 9 (Clubs CLOSED July 5th)

It's a Jungle Out There 

Learn about one of the most important forests in the world, the Amazon rainforest! Known as the "Lungs of the Planet" the Amazon rainforest is home to more biodiversity than anywhere else in the world. We'll do our best to learn about as many species as we can!

Session 4: July 12 - July 16

Blue Planet  

Come learn about everything under the sea! We will explore the coral reefs, learn about the tides and currents, and research living creatures big and small who live in our oceans!

Session 5: July 19 - July 23

Wonderful Washington  

Come and learn about our great state! Did you know that Washington grows more apples than any other state?! Or that the Puget Sound’s many islands are served by the largest ferry fleet in the United States?!

Session 6: July 26 - July 30

The Olympics  

Come take part of socially distances Olympic activities and learn about the history of the Olympic games. Virtually tour the hollowed grounds where the Olympics all began and learn about the different paricipants from all around the world and their cultures

Session 7: August 2 - August 60

Be Nice to Nature  

Learn how to reduce, reuse and recycle! We will explore how to care for our earth by reinventing new ways to use things we would normally throw away. Is that plastic water bottle trash or a lava lamp?!

Session 8: August 9 - August 13

Building A Better Future 

What is the world’s tallest building? Longest Bridge? We'll learn those answers as we discover some of the most amazing engineering feats from around the world and try our shot at building a few of our own.

Recreating Recreation 

How do we want to end this summer? Not on our computers! After over a year of sitting in front of our computers every day, this week is going to be all about fun and games away from our screens! Each day we'll focus on learning a different sport or game as well as design and make up a few of our own.

Registration Information

Each child must have a current Club Membership, $27 per year, valid through their last day of camp.  All payments are due two (2) weeks before camp starts.  A $5.00 fee will be added to all "day of registration"; advance registration is encouraged.  A $10.00 fee will be charged on all transactions switching from one camp to another.

Refund Policy: Requests made before the due date, two weeks before the start of camp will be processed minus a $25.00 fee.  Requests made after the due date will be processed at 50% of what has been paid toward the camp. To request a refund, you must contact your Site Director or the Downtown Club prior to the first day of the program. No refunds will be given once a camp begins. Memberships are non-refundable.

  • The Club also offers Specialty Camps with specific focuses including: Photography, Engineering, Art, Cooking and more. 
 
  • 4-6 grade members have two summer program options including Caravan Travel Camp and Specialty Camps. 
 
  • All Specialty Campers will also go on the weekly field trips.   

 

  • The Club offers an After School program for both the Summer Scholars and Operation Exploration programs offered by the Bellevue School District. 

 

  • The Club Teen Center offers both a drop-in program and Voyager Travel Camp. 

 

  • All Sites have Open Positions for the Junior Staff Program for youth entering 10-12 grades. 
 
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue continues to be a national leader in the innovation of technology programming for kids.
